Lithium battery goods are classified as dangerous goods, so Hongkong Post and some courier companies do not accept electronic products containing lithium batteries.

However, some courier companies allows express delivery with batteries to be sent, such as UPS and FEDEX. In fact, there are different conditions for express delivery from various courier companies, some are more complicated while some are relatively simple.

Fulffy recommends that UPS, mainly because the process is relatively simple and cost-effective!

What kind of electronic devices can be sent?

Types of batteries that could be sent overseas:

Send lithium-ion battery products (computers, tablets, smartphones, etc.) overseas (rechargeable)

- smartphones, tablets, laptops

- For example: iPad, iPhone, AirPods, MacBook, camera, camcorder (GoPro, car camera), bluetooth headset, aerial camera, etc.

Send lithium metal battery products overseas (non-rechargeable, generally used in toys, computers, timers, etc.)

- Cylindrical dry battery (AA, AAA, D, C, 9V, 23A, 27A, etc.)

- Button batteries (CR2032, CR1220, CR2032, CR1220, AG3, AG10, AG13)  

Notice! The types of batteries that can be sent must meet the following conditions before sending abroad:

1. The battery needs to be installed in the product or together with the electronic product packaging

2. The total weight of the battery is less than 5KG

3. The battery capacity must be less than 100Wh (generally small electronic products will not exceed)

4. The battery cannot be damaged or defective

5. The item must be packed in a strong rigid outer packaging box.

6. The lithium battery label must be affixed on the outer packaging box.

The following batteries/products containing batteries cannot be sent abroad:

Wet battery (car battery)

Power Bank

Pure batteries

Since UPS is more convenient and less restrictive in sending electronic products, the above price list is based on UPS prices.
